The regulating lock at Borensberg was completed in 1820. It was the first to be built under Swedish supervision. The work was carried out by men who had been trained on site by British foremen.

Mini canal for the little onesThe mini canal is a miniature of the whole Västergötland part of the canal. At this point, the canal is just 80 cm wide and 10 cm deep – a popular excursion for young and old.
