At Kungs Norrby, directly east of Borensberg, is one of the canal’s two aqueducts. It was built in 1993 in conjunction with the new alignment of trunk road no. 36 when it became necessary to empty the canal. Up to 25,000 cubic metres of excavated earth were removed from the canal bed. The aqueduct was constructed on the banks of the canal. After it had been completed, the whole construction was hauled in to place. The 47-metre long, 18-metre wide aqueduct weighing 4,500 tons was moved at a rate of three metres an hour.
