19 June – Catch the Midsummer Train, decorated with boughs and leaves, from Skara to Lundsbrunn for celebrations at Lundsbrunn Spa. At Lundsbrunn Station, folk musicians will lead everyone to the Midsummer Pole for music, singing and dancing around it. Why not take a picnic and relax on the lawn while enjoying the celebrations?

Nordens Ark, Hunnesbostrand, on the Bohuslän coast
19 June – Midsummer Pole jigs, music and games at the nature park with its magnificent Bohuslän coast setting. The pole is decorated at 1 pm and dancing begins at 2 pm. Nordens Ark is home to endangered species from all over the world - everything from native Scandinavian breeds to exotic creatures.

Vitlycke Bronze Age Rock Carvings, Tanumshede, on the Bohuslän coast
20 June – The Vitlycke Museum, home to Bronze Age rock carvings with UNESCO World Heritage status, has a tradition of celebrating Midsummer. Decoration of the pole starts at 1 pm and an evening programme with live music and a torch-lit procession starts at 6.30 pm.
